Have You Been to an SNL Taping?

Have any readers actually been to an SNL taping before?

I’d like to hear your experiences. How did you get your tickets?  What year was it?  Who was the host and musical guest?

I’ve never attended a taping, and I don’t know anyone personally that has been one of the lucky audience members over the years.  The closest I’ve been is the lobby at 30 Rockefeller, The NBC Universal Store, and just outside the entrance to the NBC studios (when I snapped the photo above).
